Doctor of chiropractic, Nadine Harrison
Nadine hails from Jersey and qualified as a Chiropractor from the world renowned, Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, Dorset.
Nadine takes a holistic approach to healthcare looking at the whole body, taking all aspects of your lifestyle into consideration when assessing you.
Her treatments are multifaceted and utilise joint manipulation and mobilisation, soft tissue treatments like massage and stretching, and medical acupuncture. Nadine also prescribes rehabilitative exercises and advice to ensure the cause of your issue is corrected.
Nadine treats a wide range of conditions affecting the nerves, muscles and joints of the body and is particularly interested in chronic pain; (those long term, persistent aches and niggles), as well as the management of headaches.
Nadine works closely with pregnant women who may be suffering from low back pain during pregnancy and often receives referrals from local midwives.
Whilst working in private practice, Nadine pursued a dream that took her to Botswana for a year volunteering with the non-profit organisation World Spine Care.
Here, Nadine co-managed a pioneering project that provides high quality spine care to under-served communities. She worked in a hospital and in a rural community, amongst a network of other health professionals including spinal surgeons, radiographers and physiotherapists.
Recent work with World Spine Care has seen Nadine visit India to train and mentor allied healthcare professionals and speak at an international conference.
In 2017 Nadine was awarded "UK Chiropractor of the year" in recognition of her work with World Spine Care. The mission of this organisation is one of Nadine's passions and she remains actively involved via clinical tuition and speaking at National conferences.
Nadine lives in Oxford, with her boyfriend. They are keen outdoor adventurers and love camping, having grown up by the sea Nadine finds it hard to pass up swimming in cold water!
